SELECTED PROJECTS
From the initial plans to the final installation, each unique ECHO project is designed and built by our team, in-house and off-site at our workshops in southwest Scotland.
The Paddock sits on stunning site in the far north of Scotland, and is one of our Long Shed collection . It was designed and built as a permanent home for a young couple , and within its tiny house dimensions sits an elegant layout , and a range of clever details and luxurious finishes .
Commissioned as one of two Treehouses for the Astley Estate in Norfolk, Meander was designed to sit amongst ancient woodland , and takes its inspiration from its woodland context, in the structure of the tree itself, its bark and the heartwood.
The tiny, self contained 'Tree Hoose' at Taigh a Chnuic was engineered by Echo to be airlifted onto the steep, woodland site overlooking Loch Broom in the Highlands of Scotland. The dramatic Tree Hoose exterior is clad in random width, black stained Siberian Larch with black corrugate tin panels.
This meticulously crafted treehouse takes its inspiration from the organic forms of the woodland, with an undulating roof that flows over the curved, timber walls. Angled details on the cladding and balcony balustrades. Inside, floor to ceiling windows and circular roof lights frame the woodland and its canopy , and flood the space with warm dappled light.
The most southerly member of our collection was commissioned by a yoga teacher from Glasgow for her site in southern Crete. We created a solution that protects the integrity of the tiny site and preserves its ancient trees.
The bespoke cabin was designed to be shipped to the remote site on a single lorry, and was installed under the shade of three ancient olive trees.
The original off-grid, modular Pyramid Cabin was designed and built by Echo for Brockloch Farm and featured in the very first series of Channel 4s 'Amazing Spaces'. Echo won a Scottish Edge Award for the innovative modular concept.
Am Falachan Roundhouse sits on a steep sloping bank on the side of Loch Broom, and was designed to provide a flexible space to be used as self contained accommodation and as a meeting space for yoga and other communal activities.
Caerlaverock Tree House was designed and built by Echo for Caerlaverock Estate and is nestled in a small wood on the property, overlooking the Solway Firth and the beautiful view across the Solway to Criffel summit. The Tree House was designed and built to compliment Caerlaverock Estate’s first Echo cabin, The Curve, which sits 400 meters away on the adjacent farmland.
