Am Falachan Roundhouse  sits on a steep sloping bank on the side of Loch Broom, and was designed  to  provide a flexible space to be used as  self contained accommodation and as a meeting space for yoga and other communal activities.

With a light, minimal aesthetic and panoramic  floor to ceiling windows, the roundhouse is a contemplative space . Its generous windows  connect  the indoor space with the  surrounding woodland and the loch beyond.

 

The interior is lined in pale spruce, with a domed ceiling rising above to create a light filled, uninterrupted volume. Elegant , hand built interior elements such as the concealed storage units, curved bench and floating kitchen are designed to accentuate the circular plan and to create an open, flexible space; a small fully fitted shower room sits discreetly to the side .

Clad in ScotLarch , with a conical sedum roof, Am Falachan is one of a small series of Echo Roundhouses   custom designed and delivered to sites across the UK.
