Craigmaddie Roundhouse was designed and built by Echo  as a rental property for  a woodland site on a farm near Milngavie, north of Glasgow.  Its south facing  floor to ceiling windows  offer panoramic views over Glasgow city, and a patio door leads out to the deck where the clients have installed a hot tub.  Timber clad with a sedum roof, the  off grid round cabin  is designed to meet BS 3632:2015, and was  prefabricated and delivered to site in two sections. 

The self contained  accommodation comprises an entrance porch in to the open plan living space with bespoke, curved  kitchen and  wood burner, and a  fully fitted shower room with rainhead shower. Solar powered, and hot water and  cooking are provided by bottled gas.  

The walls floor and roof all have sheep wool insulation and windows are double glazed.
